“One ball, sure, and then dated him! Had articles written about you and him and Harry in Witch Weekly! Snogged him and always talked about him. Vikky this, Vikky that. Vikky thinks you’re a great wizard, Harry!”
Ron snorted loudly, folding his arms across his chest as his eyes narrowed over at the curly-haired witch across from him. Now he remembered why he hadn’t really been speaking to her at all.
“Well, you’re the one that never thought I could do it on my own and pass! You’re just upset coz I don’t need you anymore! Coz I found someone to spend time with that doesn’t treat me like rubbish!”
she took in a sharp breath, glaring up at him with a pained expression. he’d hurt her more than she would ever admit, and far more than he could ever imagine. her bottom lip trembled, trying to fight back the frustration and anger she felt. finally she spoke, not nearly as loud as before.
‘ i’d no idea i’d become so useless to you, ronald. you don’t need me anymore, is that it? what, i just become someone you can throw away because you’ve got yourself a girlfriend now?! you complete arse! just stay away from me! ‘
quickly, she turned away, palms rubbing at her eyes to try and push back any tears that could have spilled. she hadn’t been this angry at him since the yule ball.
